The Idukki Parliament Constituency Plywood Manufacturers Association comprises over 50 members. The cluster association has been working closely with the Kerala Plywood Manufacturers Association and has undertaken several development activities. Some of these include:
- Exposure visit to successful clusters(Ayurveda, furniture, plywood and rice milling in the Ernakulam region)
- Regular conduct of seminars and training programmes on CGTMSE, ISI and ISO 9000 certification, technology upgrading, export-import etc.
- Operation of an association website for information dissemmination.
- Working closely with the All Kerala association for policy advocacy; imposing norms on production/capacity utilization to stabilize prices; liasoning with the transporters association most effectively etc.
