The cluster comprises environmentally compliant modern plywood processing units who presently face problems in terms of availability of raw materials resin or glue and have market scope limited to the mid-premium market. Many units often shut-down production for several days a month due to non-availability of raw material sourced and the quality of raw material sourced from other states, regions is often of poor quality - leading to even rejection of produce and great loss to cluster firms. Also, there is need for this cluster which has a reputation for quality products to have access to basic testing lab facilities. In this context, the cluster association has established an SPV to implement a common facility comprising:
- Raw material glue / resin processing facility.
- High density hydraulic press.
- Testing lab.
